The SMART (Smartphone-based Use of Medical Artificial Intelligence for Prediction and Detection of Disease) Trials are a series of randomized clinical trials evaluating the use of machine learning models for improving the detection of disease and the delivery of patient care.

The SMART-LV (Left Ventricular Dysfunction) Trial is a randomized clinical trial for evaluating a deep learning model for the detection of left ventricular dysfunction in asymptomatic patients using only images of the patients’ ECGs.
