Meet our director
Rohan Khera, MD, MS
Director, CarDS Lab
Dr. Khera is Assistant Professor of Medicine in Cardiovascular Medicine and of Biostatistics in Health Informatics at Yale University. In addition to his role as the founding Director of the CarDS Lab at Yale University, Dr. Khera is the Clinical Director of the Center for Health Informatics and Analytics at the Yale Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation. He also serves as Associate Editor for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Health at JAMA.
In his roles as a Cardiologist and Data Scientist, Dr. Khera leverages innovative applications of medical informatics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to enhance patient care, develop precision healthcare solutions, and modernize global healthcare delivery. Through the CarDS Lab, Dr. Khera has established a mentorship program for early-career scientists in applied healthcare data science.
Dr. Khera's contributions have been recognized with numerous prestigious awards, including the Blavatnik Award for innovative technology (2023), American Society of Clinical Investigation Young Physician-Scientist Award (2023), Doris Duke Charitable Foundation Clinician Scientist Development Award (2022), Jeremiah Stamler Distinguished Young Investigator Research Award (2021), the American College of Cardiology’s Young Investigator Award in Outcomes Research (2019), and the National Young Investigator Scholarship from the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (2011).
